In the early 1980s, Fargo was one of Germany's most important Rock acts. With four studio Albums between 1979 and 1982 and tours with AC/DC, Mothers Finest, and The Small Faces, the band from Hanover gained a true cult status. After a longer hiatus, Fargo has been active again since 2016, producing two more highly acclaimed studio Albums and touring extensively in Germany and Switzerland. On February 23, 2024, their four early classics 'Wishing Well' (1979), 'No Limit' (1980), 'Frontpage Lover' (1981), and 'F' (1982) will be re-released by Steamhammer/SPV. 'The Early Years' will be released as a high-quality 4-CD box set including photos and liner notes. All four Albums have been remastered, and the debut Album 'Wishing Well' has also been remixed.

The band toured multiple times throughout Europe, shared the stage with top international acts, and made an impressive appearance on television ('Rock Pop', ZDF). Due to their sensational stage show (which included Knorn's legendary head-over-heels somersault every night), even the largest European youth magazine BRAVO dedicated two full pages to the Fargo bassist in January 1981.
